Huljich Wealth Management (New Zealand) Limited has strengthened its investment team by appointing David McEwen as an external consultant to its Investment Committee.

Other members of the investment committee are the company's managing director and chief investment officer, Don Brash, director Chris Huljich, independent director John Banks, and senior portfolio manager Henry Tongue.

Dr Brash says, "I welcome Mr McEwen to the team and look forward to working alongside him. He is well regarded in the industry and will provide added strength to our investment team."

Mr McEwen is currently chief investment officer for Investment Research Group Limited where he oversees research and commentary on 400 companies, sits on the company's investment committee, researches and writes a weekly investment report and manages the Australasian equities component of client portfolios. He is a qualified securities analyst.
